The Silent Offering

In Haven Ridge, missing children are dismissed and forgotten—until a new body pulls journalist Jeffrey Dunham back to the town that stole his sister. What he uncovers is a decades‑old pattern of disappearances, buried histories, and something ancient lurking beneath the silence. The Silent Offering delivers chilling folk horror steeped in truth, trauma, and the cost of looking away.

From the very start, this story grips you by the throat! There are several missing children and the cases stay unsolved… being wiped under a rug. When a journalist digs deeper, he finds out that the horror is real and he follows a trail to those missing kids and what happened to them. I love the writing style and I’m curious to read more work from D. Lovell.

The silent offering took my hand and pulled me in. I will never look at trees the same. A gripping tale of the past, and present. Very original and heart pounding.
